Dr Tejas Ozarkar is a double board-certified physician specializing in minimally invasive non-surgical orthopedics and pain management. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and in Pain Medicine; both board certifications are through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Ozarkar has performed thousands of injections into the spine and joints through his years of practice. He is proficient in ultrasound guided injections, fluoroscopy (X-Ray) guided injections, and landmark guided injections. Dr. Ozarkar regularly performs an array of ultrasound guided procedures such as nerve blocks, hydrodissections, stellate ganglion blocks, dry needling, joint injections, and soft tissue injections. Dr Ozarkar also performs fluoroscopically guided pain procedures such as epidural injections, facet injections, caudal epiduralysis of adhesions (Racz procedure), radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials and permanent implantations. Dr. Ozarkar is also an expert in the emerging field of regenerative medicine and is the Medical Director at the Riordan Medical Institute, known for providing cutting edge orthobiologic treatments and garners patients worldwide.
Dr. Ozarkar is a true Texan – born and raised in DFW. He graduated from Plano West Senior High School. He then went on to get his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University then also completed his medical degree at Texas Tech. Dr Ozarkar then matched to the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), consistently ranked one of the best medical schools in the world, and completed his residency in PM&R. He then completed an interventional pain fellowship in the Department of Anesthesia at Texas Tech, which is known as one of the premier pain management training programs, well known for the invention of many popular pain management procedures.
Dr. Ozarkar has been published in journals such as PM&R and has presented research at the AAPM&R and Texas Pain Society meetings.
